To recognize our brave soldiers, Sears has teamed up with U.S. Marine Corps veteran Josh Gracin to launch the national “Portraits of Heroes” song to highlight their heroic stories.
Veterans, active servicemen and women, military spouses and family members alike were invited to share a story about a special military hero in their life for a chance to have it turned into a song, which will be written and performed by Gracin.
The retailer is also encouraging Americans to lend their support by making a donation to its Heroes at Home program in any Sears store nationwide or online at Heroes At Home now through July 31.
Customer donations will support the rehabilitation of homes for veterans and military families across the country, as well as benefit Rebuilding Together’s Disaster Assessment and Response Program.
The prize package for the winner of the Sears “Portraits of Heroes” song contest includes:
• Personal story composed into a song that will be written, produced and performed by Gracin
• A trip for four (4) to Nashville, Tennessee., June 24-26 to spend a day with Gracin in the recording studio
• Autographed guitar and CD from Gracin
