Darius To The Rescue

Darius Rucker is throwing his support behind the American Red Cross. He's among the new members of the organization's National Celebrity Cabinet.


Darius says he feels honored to be included in the Cabinet and adds that he has a lot of respect for the Red Cross for the way the organization steps up when there's need.


Rucker explains that the Red Cross does an "extraordinary" job of both meeting the immediate needs in a community when disaster strikes and also remaining prepared to provide support over the long term.


Other new American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet members include Christian singer Michael W. Smith, actress Kristin Chenoweth, TV personality Nate Berkus, and Latin star Rogelio Martinez. Rucker is the latest country star to sign on with the Red Cross.


Reba McEntire, Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, and Brooks & Dunn are just some of the many country artists who have given their time to the organization's National Celebrity Cabinet over the years.
