Reports are trickling in from Las Vegas after the first American Country Awards show, seen Monday night (Dec. 6) on the Fox network. Seems there was an all-star after party where country giants hit the stage in some interesting combos.
Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson teamed up for a version of Reba’s 1994 hit “Why Haven’t I Heard from You,” GAC personality Storme Warren reports via Twitter.
And there’s apparently a new country trio out. Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley traded Dave and Hillary in for Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. Charles, Jason and Luke sang John Mellencamp's “Pink Houses” together.
All of this country fun happened at an after-show show put on by Blake Shelton at the House of Blues in Vegas.
Other performances:
• Miranda Lambert and Kelly Clarkson doing “Strawberry Wine.”
• The Band Perry singing “Fat Bottomed Girls.”
Journalist Chris Willman said, via Twitter, “Honestly, Fox should've broadcast two hours of this show instead.”
