Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman Rate Awards Show Highs and Lows

Nicole Kidman says she has a favorite awards show. "The CMAs are the most fun of any award shows," Nicole tells the hosts of ABC's 'The View.' "It's a community down there [in Nashville]. Most people that are in the country music sort of industry live in Nashville. They all know each other, and it's just very tight and very supportive."

Keith is no stranger to awards shows himself. Just this year, he won a Grammy for Best Male Country Performance for his hit, 'Sweet Thing.' He also presented the Zac Brown Band with their Grammy for Best New Artist.

"That was a great moment," Keith tells The Boot. "The Grammys are about recognizing genres that are making an impact. Country is truly doing that."

There's one aspect of awards shows that does get Keith a little on edge, but it's not sitting in the audience listening for his name to be called. "Red carpets are pretty unpredictable," he says. "You can go from one person asking you what you're wearing to the next person asking you about the situation in Haiti. It's the extreme juxtaposition, and some of the questions can throw me! There's limited time and lots of people to talk to ... and I'm not a fan of interviews. I like just having a chat."
