Sugarland Radio Is on the Air

Sugarland Radio Station, launched by A.P.E. Radio, features not only Sugarland music but Jennifer and Kristian -- who will program the station -- will also play their favorite tracks from artists including Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Band of Horses, the Cure, R.E.M., Al Green, Emmylou Harris and Steve Earle, among an eclectic list of others.


They will share stories about their songwriting, tours, various countries they've visited, their current interest in "nostalgic" items from their youth such as record players and rotary telephones, charitable causes close to their hearts and even the first time Kristian's old band got to open for INXS.


"I'm so excited to give fans this look behind the curtain at Sugarland and show what makes Kristian and me tick," says Jennifer. "People may be surprised about some of our musical influences, and we've got some great stories to share."


Kristian told The Boot that he and Jennifer offer a special creative combination that many other duos and bands don't have. 


"We are really lucky," says Kristian. "Country music is often built in such a way that separates singers from the song. We don't do that. We write all our own songs and we write about thing we know. In that way, we find a connection with the people around us."
