Blake Shelton will be a vocal coach on NBC’s new music competition show, ‘The Voice.’
Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, was surprised when meeting Shelton.

“I wasn’t expecting you to be funny,” Levine tells Access Hollywood. “I was expecting like a really earnest, like straight up country guy. I wasn’t expecting this like, subversive punk rock man.”

Shelton admits his twitter language may not make the show, “I don’t think I can incorporate the tweet behavior of my personality into this show because there is, you know, some language barriers I would say.” ‘The Voice’ debuts on NBC next Tuesday April 26.
