Trace Adkins Pays Tribute to Troops During USO Tour

Trace Adkins expresses his heartfelt gratitude to troops during a nine-day USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to Middle East. This is the third USO tour for Adkins, who has traveled on two USO tours since 2002 and performed for more than 7,800 troops stationed in Bahrain, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Just two days into his week-long USO tour to the combat zone, Adkins has visited more than 6,000 troops stationed overseas. Among the bases Adkins has visited so far are Camp Arifjan and Contingency Operating Base Basra.

Adkins' tour will officially wrap up in the U.S. with a welcome home USO concert for soldiers and their families stationed at Fort Benning, GA. The concert is free and open to all military ID holders.

"Traveling on USO tours and visiting our nation's troops has been awe-inspiring and even overwhelming at times," says Adkins. "Whether I'm walking around a post shaking hands and signing autographs or performing for troops, I am always aware I am in the presence of heroes, and the courage and determination that those men and women show is humbling. It's an honor to get to do that and I will always jump at the chance to do it for years to come.
