Grace Potter duets with Kenny Chesney on “You and Tequila” from his new album, Hemingway’s Whiskey, and the two surprised a Nashville crowd on Friday
night when Kenny joined Grace on stage to perform the tune. Grace was performing along with her band, The Nocturnals, at the Ryman Auditorium during
their opening set for the Avett Brothers when she told the crowd “This one doesn’t belong to us. It belongs to a good friend of ours. We’re also gonna
borrow a good friend tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Kenny Chesney.” (via CMT) CMT reports that “Chesney received a warm welcome when he walked
onstage wearing khaki pants, blue long-sleeve T-shirt and knit cap. He watched the band’s entire set from the side of the stage.”
