Justin Moore Works On His Golf Game (Off The Beaten Track)

Justin just wrapped up the first leg of his Off the Beaten Path Tour and so far he’s been having as much fun off the stage with his openers as he has on the stage.

Randy Houser and Josh Thompson are opening for Justin and he says, “Me and Randy have played golf I think every day, poorly, but we’ve played golf about every day. We got Josh out there the other day, finally, and he’s not a golfer but he did a pretty good job of drinking beer and driving the golf cart.”

While there’s a lot of responsibility that comes along with being a headliner, Justin says, “The coolest thing about doing your headline tour is I’ve got ‘bout 30 people on the road with me everyday worrying about the logistics and I kind of feel lazy, to be honest with you. I’m just kind of waitin’ around all day to go play that night, so ya, we get out and do stuff like that. A lot of bad golf in our future.”

Justin’s latest single, “Lettin’ the Night Roll,” is currently climbing the charts.  He’ll take the next couple of months off the road for the holidays and then the Off the Beaten Path Tour will pick back up on January 23, 2014.

Brad Paisley Records Josh Thompson's Song

theboot.com
Josh Thompson was told by Brad Paisley that he was going to record a song he'd written. 'A Man Don't Have to Die' appears on Brad's album, 'This Is Country Music.'

"Brad told me the last date of the H20 tour in Denver," Josh tells The Boot. "He said, 'Hey, man. I found out that I've had a song of yours on hold for a while, and I just want to let you know that if you're not going to do it, I'm going to cut it Wednesday." I cried. [laughs] I hugged him, and said he could have it."

This isn't the first tune of Josh's that another artist has cut. He also penned 'Church Pews or Bar Stool' for Jason Aldean's 'My Kinda Party' album.

"I'm a songwriter," Josh continues. "It is the utmost flattery for someone to record a song of mine."

Music And Motorcycles For Kids

Credit: Chris Hollo
Dierks Bentley, Joe Nichols, Josh Thompson, Uncle Kracker and Miss Willie Brown will get their motors running on May 22 for Dierks' annual Miles and Music for Kids motorcycle ride and concert.

During its five-year history, the events surrounding Dierks' philanthropy have raised more than $1.5 million for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year's proceeds will be donated to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

"These families who have children in the hospital, they need to only have to worry about their child getting well, not where the next money is coming from," Dierks told The Boot.

The ride will depart from the AD Farrow Co. Harley-Davidson Dealership (7754 St. Rt. 37 E., Sunbury, Ohio 43074) for the hour and a half long ride that ends at the LC Pavilion (405 Neil Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215) for the concert portion of the event featuring Dierks and his special musical guests.
