Atkins tied the knot with fellow singer-songwriter Rose Falcon during an intimate beachside ceremony Sunday, November 10 on Captiva Island, Fla. Twenty guests were in attendance as the couple exchanged vows, including Atkins’ son Elijah, who acted as best man. Officiating was Charles Hutchins, founder of Holston United Methodist Home for Children, where Atkins spent his infancy before being adopted.
On Saturday, friends and family were treated to a day of fishing in the beautiful waters surrounding Captiva. Rose crafted many of the wedding decorations herself, including wedding programs made of CD cases and a handmade bracelet for each female guest. Male guests each received a custom hat made to match the baseball cap worn by the groom.
Rodney and Rose also took a special moment during the wedding ceremony to recognize the 51st anniversary of Allen and Margaret Atkins, presenting Margaret with a three-carat aquamarine ring (a nod to Rodney’s birthstone).
When asked about their plans after the wedding, Rodney and Rose both responded, “Our life is a honeymoon.” They are returning to Nashville and will continue on The Most Hits For The Money Tour, along with country guitar-slinger Frankie Ballard.

Daniels, award-winning, platinum-selling icon, announced today that fellow country artists will join him for the annual Christmas 4 Kids (a division of Christmas For Kids, Inc) benefit concert taking place on November 25th at the Ryman Auditorium. In addition, Charlie Chase will be on hand to emcee the evening’s festivities.
"Christmas 4 Kids is about helping underprivileged children who might not have much of a Christmas if it weren't for this organization,” says Charlie Daniels. “We'll be having fun helping to put smiles on a lot of faces this Christmas. Thank you Music City for your support and to our artist friends who come out every year."
Christmas 4 Kids is a not-for-profit organization that has been in existence for over 25 years providing many children, each year, with their very own shopping spree. The funds generated by the concert, and the Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet event, are used to give over 400 children from 29 different schools, a day-long shopping excursion. The special day consists of a chauffeured trip from their school aboard an entertainer's luxury tour bus, dinner, and a party hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Hendersonville Expo Center. To wrap up the day, the tour buses journey to the Hendersonville, Tennessee, Wal*mart, where the kids receive a brand new winter coat, and $150.00 to spend on anything they want!
Ticket Pricing: Tier One tickets: $60.00, Tier Two tickets: $32.50
Starting today, tickets for the concert are available through Christmas 4 Kids online at www.Christmas4kids.org. No service charges are billed in addition to the ticket price when ordered on the event website.
Starting October 15, all tickets not sold via the Christmas4kids.org website will be available through TicketMaster or the Ryman Auditorium box office, and all applicable service charges will apply.

Rodney Does Kimmel

“The last time I was on the show, Guillermo [Rodriguez] and I performed a little skit – or I guess song, if you can call it that – honoring our active and former military on Veterans Day,” shares Atkins, “so I’m looking forward to seeing him again as well as performing on the show.”
This time, ya have to think that Jimmy will have some provocative questions for Rodney.
Atkins begins his year of touring this February with a stop in Verona, NY. His tour has him stretching the country from upstate New York to south Mississippi and western Oregon, including a USO visit with our troops.

Really? An Official Tour Tractor?
Rodney Atkins whom penned the song, “Man on a Tractor,” shares those same fundamental ideals with a company that boasts more tractors on the job worldwide than any other brand.
In 2011, Massey Ferguson®
(www.masseyferguson.com) will proudly be the “official tractor” of Rodney Atkins.
“I’ve never been one to stray far from my roots on the farm,” said Atkins. “And hard work and love of the land are a big part of that. I was raised with a love and devotion for this country and the principles it was founded upon.”
Throughout the year, Atkins will be involved in activities ranging from national advertising to dealer tie-ins, social media campaigns, contests and national Farm Shows bringing this ball-cap-donning “regular guy” who just happens to rack up a slew of country hits among the hardworking farmers who share his ideals.
