See the new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum - The Bakersfield Sound: Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and California Country. Narrated by Dwight Yoakam, this exhibition explores the roots of the Bakersfield Sound and its enduring impact on country music today. Central to the exhibition are the lives of Country Music Hall of Fame members Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, two of the biggest hit makers in music history. The electrified, loud and stripped-down sound of the Bakersfield scene has influenced artists of all types, giving rise to both the California country and country rock landscapes that evolved.
And top it all off with tickets to see Merle Haggard perform at the historic Ryman Auditorium!
