Jason Aldean Artist Of The Year, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line Lead 2014 American Country Countdown Awards Winners

  • Huff Po:  "Pregnant Carrie Underwood Is A Vision In White"
  • Rolling Stone:  "Its nominees were unexpected, but its winners were told in advance. Audience members were encouraged to drink and tweet from the on-set "Twitter bar." And the hosts didn't crack any Taylor Swift jokes.... In a musical genre of awards show after yet another awards show, the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards certainly made a unique mark."

110,000 Tickets In 12 Minutes

The tradition continues in New England for Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean as they have sold out two nights at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium -- ten months in advance – in just under a dozen minutes. These latest sellouts mark Chesney’s 12th and 13th play sold out play at Gillette Stadium, birthplace of the No Shoes Nation.

“Let’s do it, Boston!” said Aldean.   “When we first started talking about doing stadiums together next summer, Kenny and I circled Foxboro on the map and made it top priority.  It’s going to be a long winter waiting on this one!”

“Boston... You guys knock me out!” Chesney said when reached with the news. “Your passion for life, music and rocking inspires me more than you even know. I can’t believe it’s gonna be ten months ‘til I get there. But hearing this, man, I’m gonna be so ready when I get there.”

Chesney has always had a special love affair with Boston. He created the Spread the Love Fund to aid the amputee survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing, as well as helping sell out Farm Aid when it was outside Boston. The years of multiple Gillette Stadium shows created enough talk amongst his camp the No Shoes Nation was named there, commemorated with a Super Bowl-style banner, which hangs in the end zone.

For Aldean, Boston fans hit a grand slam for the superstar last summer when he sold out two nights at the iconic Fenway Park in just minutes with the Boston Globe noting the show was “a barn burner…professional, polished…full of big beats and brawny riffs.”  That same year, Aldean and his smoking five-piece band also performed at the Boston Strong concert to benefit the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings alongside Aerosmith, James Taylor and Jimmy Buffet.

Chesney, a 4-time Country Music Association and 4-consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, is the only country artist in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years; impressive given headlining began in 2002. Deemed “The King of the Road” by The Wall Street Journal, his summer concerts are legend.

Reigning ACM “Male Vocalist Of The Year” Aldean has one of the year’s top selling albums in all genres with his latest release Old Boots, New Dirt.  He is also known for high intensity shows, sense of true grit and songs that capture the way his fans genuinely live their lives. The triple-platinum seller and country music’s most downloaded male artist in history has extended his Burning It Down Tour into 2015 with 23 dates, starting in Greenville, South Carolina February 12.

Academy of Country Music Top New Artist Brantley Gilbert, who has hit #1 with “Country Must Be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” and “Bottoms Up,” will bring his own brew to Foxoboro – as well as fellow songwriter/emerging artist Cole Swindell who hit #1 with both “Chillin’ It” and “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight.”

Florida Georgia Line Loves Wide Range of Fans Coming to Their Tour

In between Burn It Down Tour dates with Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line is headlining their own summer tour with special guest Nelly, and they say so far it’s going great. Nelly joins them every night on stage to sing “Cruise,” and Brian says, “We’ve had I think 12, 13, 14,000 people I think the first three nights.”

One thing he’s enjoying the most is seeing the wide range of fans who are coming out to their shows. “It’s pretty cool to see guys in cowboy hats and different kind of cultures, little kids, teenagers, college kids, grandparents, 40 year olds. It seems like everybody’s really packing in and it’s a really cool spot to be in,” says Brian. “We’re very blessed to have that wide of a fan base. Country’s everywhere. It’s pretty cool.”

The This Is How We Roll Summer Tour will be visiting baseball parks across the country through June 22nd.

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eli Young Band, Florida Georgia Line, Jamey Johnson, Trisha Yearwood Sing for Their Heroes in "ALABAMA & Friends" on GAC-TV

"For me, they were the Beatles," said Jason Aldean about country music super group ALABAMA in ALABAMA & Friends, a one-hour concert event premiering Wednesday, November 27, 9:00 p.m./ET on Great American Country. "Through Randy's voice, the songs, his charisma on stage, he had people in the palm of his hand. Watching the reaction those guys got from the crowd was part of the reason I wanted to be an entertainer."

Each artist performs their favorite ALABAMA hit with Aldean delivering "Tennessee River"; Luke Bryan on "Love in the First Degree"; Florida Georgia Line on "I'm In a Hurry (And Don't Know Why)"; Trisha Yearwood on "Forever's As Far As I'll Go"; Jamey Johnson on "My Home's in Alabama"; and Eli Young Band on "The Closer You Get". ALABAMA also performs "All American," one of two new tracks on their recently-released Alabama & Friends tribute album.

"They were just perfectly poetic for a southern person," said Luke Bryan of the group that's sold 73 million albums and charted 43 No. 1 hits. "They may be big stars but they felt like the guys down the street. They knew who their audience was and spoke right to them."

"I think it's given us renewed energy," said ALABAMA lead singer Randy Owen of the outpouring they continue to receive from today's top country music stars. The concert was filmed during one of two sold-out ALABAMA concerts at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.

This combo of Jason, Jake and Thomas are everything you need in a concert, great songwriting, fun upbeat songs with a few ballads mixed in and of course, they’re not too bad on the eyes either, says WYRK's Wendy Lynn.

Jason Aldean Sells Out Two Nights At Fenway Park

The Boston Globe's Sarah Rodman review is glowing:
It was the first country concert at the park and given that it sold out in minutes, chances are Aldean’s Saturday show, which also sold out lickety split, won’t be the last. (Or at least the contemporary version of it that Aldean plays, which sometimes requires spelunking to find the “country” in some of his songs.) As he did at the Boston Strong benefit concert in May, Aldean came out swinging. As fireworks shot off the top of the stage, he lit into the barn burning “Crazy Town” and for 83 minutes kept up a brisk pace.

The Georgia native led his crackling five-man backing band through a professional, polished, and likable outsized arena country show, full of the big beats and brawny riffs of hits like “Johnny Cash” and “She’s Country” that have vaunted him to stadium status. (Although he promised an “epic” show, he should be careful throwing that word around, especially when a man nearly twice his age played a set more than twice as long at the same venue a few days earlier.)

Banter was generally kept to a minimum in favor of rocking but Aldean did talk about how excited he was to play Fenway since he’s a huge baseball fan who grew up with posters of Wade Boggs and Jim Rice adorning his walls.

Jason Aldean Surprises Charlie Daniels At Benefit Concert

Daniels was surprised while hosting a special free concert last night to support Lipscomb University’s Yellow Ribbon Enhancement Program as part of the Charlie Daniels’ Scholarship for Heroes event.  Fellow patriots and country stars, the multi-platinum, multi-award winning chart-topper Jason Aldean and the GRAMMY® award-winning Lee Greenwood walked unannounced onto the stage to offer their support for our military.

The concert also featured return performances by Chris Young and The Grascals, as well as Keni Thomas, Bleach and Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Sparky Matejka, and included a presentation with Mary Byers, President of Gold Star Mothers, Inc., an organization of mothers who have lost sons or daughters while in service of their country.
“The motto for the USO is ‘until they all come home.’ Last night's event at Lipscomb addressed the fact that many did not come home,” explained Greenwood.  “I'm proud to have been a part of this event and congratulate my friend Charlie Daniels for being a leader in our Nashville community.”
Daniels, a staunch supporter of the military, was pleased with the event and the support by the community.  Corporate sponsors and donors included iostudio, Humana, Waltrip Brothers’ Charity Championship, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Twice Daily, Bridgestone, Chase, Operation Homefront, Clear Channel, Dollywood, Shofner Vision Center, Trauger & Tuke, Glover Group Entertainment, SunTrust and DSI.

“We have so many heroes whose needs fly below our radar,” said Daniels. “This shouldn’t be happening and this event is helping to make sure it doesn’t.”

Tim McGraw’s ACM Superstar Summer Night

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift are scheduled to perform.

Fifteen time ACM Award winner, acclaimed actor and entertainer Tim McGraw is handpicking the hottest music of summer and calling on his friends to help kick off the 2013 touring season. The two-hour star-studded concert event will feature performances and collaborations from country, pop, rock and more, as well as a few surprise special guests from the worlds of film and television. All proceeds will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy, and an organization that McGraw was closely affiliated with over his last tour.

"I hope I can help turn the fans on to some of the best live music that will be on the road this summer and really put a spotlight on the ones I know they won't want to miss," said McGraw. "I also feel a responsibility to help raise some money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives and all the good work they do. They supported me last summer with our HomeFront program and helped me give away a house to a Veteran in need in every market we played in, so I'm excited to get some of my friends together and repay the favor."
