Justin Moore Got Simple But Meaningful Advice From His Dad

Justin is a father of three, which means he’ll probably be passing on some life lessons and words of wisdom to his daughters, the way his dad did to him.

Moore says the best advice he remembers from his dad was pretty simple. His dad told him, ‘If you wanna do somethin’, go do it. You can do anything that you put your mind to.’

That advice is nothing new and it’s been around forever, but the fact that he gets to make a living performing and singing songs like his new single, “This Kind of Town,” “is a prime example of that bein’ so true.”

A Sleepy Justin Moore Says Three Kids Is It For Him

Moore and his wife Kate welcomed their third daughter, Rebecca Klein, into the world a little over two months ago (July 14), and Justin says, “She’s happy and healthy and doing great but she doesn’t like to sleep too much.” In fact, Justin says, “I’m definitely having to go on the road right now to get sleep.”

Justin has three little girls, 4-year-old Ella, 2-year-old Kennedy and baby Rebecca, who he absolutely loves and adores, although he does say, “I wouldn’t mind having a boy but I love my girls.” However, he has absolutely no plans to have anymore children, although his wife might have other thoughts. Justin says, “My wife told me the other day, it was like four in the morning and we were up with the baby and she said, ‘I could do this again.’ I said, ‘Get away from me! I’m going to work, leave me alone.’” The “Home Sweet Home” singer jokes, “She can’t keep her hands off of me!”

Justin laughs and says it’s probably a good thing he’s out on tour right now with Miranda Lambert right now so that he’s not home with any possibility of baby number four.

Country Goes Motley

Country stars lined up to pay homage to iconic rock group Motley Crue on the new Big Machine release, Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Motley Crue, which arrives at retail on August 19th. 

Justin Moore, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, Brantley Gilbert, LeAnn Rimes, Darius Rucker, Eli Young Band, Cassadee Pope, The Mavericks, Big & Rich, The Cadillac Three, Aaron Lewis, Nashville stars Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen, Lauren Jenkins and Gretchen Wilson all recorded Motley Crue’s hits in tribute to the band, who, after more than 30 years together and over 80 million albums sold worldwide, have decided to call it quits.

The idea for Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Motley Crue at first didn’t make sense to the band, but Vince Neil says they quickly came around to giving their stamp of approval. “I just kind of couldn’t wrap my head around it because my head is still like what country was 30 years ago, say when I was growing up, and I didn’t really realize that country music has become the new rock ‘n’ roll, and so all of a sudden I started listening to these bands and going, ‘This actually makes sense. I mean, this is really cool! So it became really exciting and after listening to the songs for the first time of all the acts I was like, ‘These guys all hit a homerun on this record.’”

The first single from Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Motley Crue is Justin Moore’s version of “Home Sweet Home,” featuring Vince Neil.

Justin Moore Might Have Considered Personal Trainer If He Had A Plan B

This summer he will be doing a lot of traveling as he covers the fair and festival circuit across the country.
 
Things are going great for Moore these days, with his latest single, “Lettin’ the Night Roll” in the top ten and climbing, which is a good thing, because he admits he never really had a plan B if a career in music didn’t work out. Justin says, “I always thought if you had a Plan B it meant you were givin’ up on Plan A before you got it goin’ or gave it shot, which to kids out there, don’t go by my logic ‘cause sometimes Plan A don’t work out.”

Looking back, Justin says there was a time he thought being a physical trainer for a professional sports team, like his beloved Atlanta Braves, might have been cool. The way he sees it, “I’m not really doin’ anything that different than that now, you know. Obviously it’s not in the medical field, but I would have been travelin’ on weekends and seein’ different parts of the country and beyond and that’s what I’m doin’ right now. So, I would definitely say lookin’ back, after I’ve done what I’ve done for so long, I could never go to work 9 to 5 for somebody in an office. I would have to have flexibility to kinda go and come as I please.”

Justin Moore Is Completely Hooked On TV’s “Moonshiners”

Moore has plenty to keep him busy, between promoting his top 20 single, “Lettin’ the Night Roll,” and touring across the country with his Off the Beaten Path Tour, but when he gets some free time, he admits that he’s completely hooked on the Discovery Channel TV show “Moonshiners.” 

“I am hooked on that show,” says Justin.  The docudrama features people who produce (illegal) moonshine in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina, and Justin’s excited because it turns out he might have an “in” with one of the cast members. “The funniest story about that is one of the guys on the show went to high school with my Aunt by marriage,” he explains. “And I just figured that out the other day, because randomly we were talkin’ about it, which is kinda cool. So, I don’t know, maybe we’ll have to hook up down the road or somethin’.”

Perhaps he could invite the people from the show to one of his remaining tour stops on his Off the Beaten Path Tour, which runs through the end of April.

Justin Moore Works On His Golf Game (Off The Beaten Track)

Justin just wrapped up the first leg of his Off the Beaten Path Tour and so far he’s been having as much fun off the stage with his openers as he has on the stage. 

Randy Houser and Josh Thompson are opening for Justin and he says, “Me and Randy have played golf I think every day, poorly, but we’ve played golf about every day. We got Josh out there the other day, finally, and he’s not a golfer but he did a pretty good job of drinking beer and driving the golf cart.” 

While there’s a lot of responsibility that comes along with being a headliner, Justin says, “The coolest thing about doing your headline tour is I’ve got ‘bout 30 people on the road with me everyday worrying about the logistics and I kind of feel lazy, to be honest with you. I’m just kind of waitin’ around all day to go play that night, so ya, we get out and do stuff like that. A lot of bad golf in our future.”

Justin’s latest single, “Lettin’ the Night Roll,” is currently climbing the charts.  He’ll take the next couple of months off the road for the holidays and then the Off the Beaten Path Tour will pick back up on January 23, 2014.

Daniels, award-winning, platinum-selling icon, announced today that fellow country artists will join him for the annual Christmas 4 Kids (a division of Christmas For Kids, Inc) benefit concert taking place on November 25th at the Ryman Auditorium.  In addition, Charlie Chase will be on hand to emcee the evening’s festivities.

"Christmas 4 Kids is about helping underprivileged children who might not have much of a Christmas  if it weren't for this organization,” says Charlie Daniels.  “We'll be having fun helping to put smiles on a lot of faces this Christmas.  Thank you  Music City for your support and to our artist friends who come out every year."

Christmas 4 Kids is a not-for-profit organization that has been in existence for over 25 years providing many children, each year, with their very own shopping spree. The funds generated by the concert, and the Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet event, are used to give over 400 children from 29 different schools, a day-long shopping excursion.  The special day consists of a chauffeured trip from their school aboard an entertainer's luxury tour bus, dinner, and a party hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Hendersonville Expo Center. To wrap up the day, the tour buses journey to the Hendersonville, Tennessee, Wal*mart, where the kids receive a brand new winter coat, and $150.00 to spend on anything they want!

Justin Moore weighs in on Zac Brown and Luke Bryan

Moore’s new CD, “Off the Beaten Path” is out this week and “it’s been a long time comin’.” 
 

Justin says you will find a lot the kind of music that has gotten him to this point in his career, but it is also a bit of a departure for him.  ”You will find music on this album, I might not have cut when I started,” says Justin.  It has a bit of a “rock influence from what I’ve done in the past.”  He runs a lot of the CD by his wife for an honest opinion.

As far as the Luke Bryan and Zac Brown dust up… “Country music is more diverse than it has ever been… What I have a problem with is when you call somebody out in your fraternity.”

Justin Moore On TV To Promote New LP And Tour

Justin entertained a live crowd (and fans online) from the FOX & Friends outdoor stage in New York City on Friday (8/30). Fans got to hear his three #1 hits – “Small Town USA,” “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” and “Til My Last Day” - as well as Justin's latest Top 10-and-climbing single "Point At You." 

The lead single will be featured on OFF THE BEATEN PATH, which is in stores on September 17.

The singer/songwriter has been previewing the new music all Summer and will embark on his OFF THE BEATEN PATH TOUR November 1 with special guest Randy Houser and Josh Thompson.

Justin Moore Partners With Razorbacks (Ask If A&O&B Is Surprised!)

The Arkansas native and hit singer/songwriter will perform a free public concert on Friday Sept. 13 at the University of Arkansas, beginning at 7 p.m. Held in parking lot 56 on campus, the special event is sponsored by Razorback Athletics and will be a part of Family Weekend, which amps up the excitement for the Arkansas’ home football game against Southern Mississippi at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14. Justin will attend the game as a special guest of the University of Arkansas, cheering on his favorite team … the Razorbacks!

Luke Bryan, Sam Bush, John Cowan, Radney Foster, Randy Houser, Dustin Lynch and Justin Moore will join Rucker for his sold-out, fourth annual “Darius And Friends” benefit concert on Monday, June 3 at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tenn.

Proceeds from the event go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“I always look forward to this event each year, and I’m so happy to have Luke, Sam, John, Randy, Dustin, Justin, and of course my hero, Radney, join me to help raise funds for St. Jude,” said Rucker.

Justin Moore: next album the most diverse he's ever done

Although a release date hasn’t been set yet, Moore is anxious to get his next album out, featuring his latest single, “Point At You.”

He says, “There’s gonna be a lot of this new album that people go, ‘Ahh, that’s Justin. It’s what he does.’ But then there’s gonna be quite a few songs on this album that, I think, will surprise some people as well, which I’m excited about. It’s the most diverse album we’ve done.”

Justin felt like “Point At You” was a good first song to release off the new album because he says, “It’s an example of kinda blending those two worlds together to me perfectly. It sounds like something we’ve put out but the subject matter is a love song.”

Justin Moore's Third Album Is Almost Ready

Moore is working on the follow-up to his Outlaws Like Me album and just recently he tweeted, “Just wrapped vocals on album #3. Thank God! 16 songs is a lot of singing! Can't wait for y'all to hear this stuff!” 

Justin says this new album has a bit of a different sound than his first two, but he didn’t set out to purposely do something different. “I knew exactly what I wanted my first album to be like and sound like and be called. I knew exactly what I wanted my second one to be like,” he explains… With this one, I had no idea what the heck I wanted to do with it, at all.” 

But Justin says, “I’m a fan of people who make a different album every time and not the same thing over and over and over.” Fortunately, with the new album he says, “That just kind of came to me with the songs that we heard; songs I wrote.” 

A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but the new album, featuring Justin’s latest single, “Point At You,” will be released sometime later this year.

Country Thunder 2013 Music Festival Officially Sold Out

In a first for Arizona Country Thunder history, festival organizers announced the 4-day country music lifestyle event has SOLD OUT reaching a capacity crowd of 25,000 patrons and filling 5,100 campsites.

Day three of Country Thunder kept the party going with a musical extravaganza headlined by Toby Keith, Lee Brice, Diamond Rio, Parmalee and Morgan Frazier.  The beautiful desert landscape, along with cooperative weather, has provided music lovers with an unforgettable experience.

Ticketholders will get to soak in the final day (Sunday) of action at Country Thunder with main stage performances by Lady Antebellum, Justin Moore, Jerrod Niemann and Aaron Lewis.  Local artists, including Dry River Yacht Club and Gospel Claws, hit the College Times Stage while Electric Thunder and Moonshine Willy’s kept the party going to the wee hours of the morning.

Darius Rusker, Justin Moore, Rodney Atkins and Jana Kramer 2013 Tour

Rucker is calling all ‘true believers’ to meet him out on the road this summer for his newly announced headlining tour in support of his upcoming True Believers album release this spring.

 

The True Believers Tour kicks off on May 9 in Estero, Fla. and will work its way through more than 20 cities across the U.S. before wrapping up in Clarkston, Mich. on June 30.

  

Darius will treat concert-goers to tunes from across all three of his country albums, including current critically-acclaimed single “Wagon Wheel” and any number of his five No. 1 hits like “Come Back Song,” “This,” “Alright” and more.

Nashville's Big Machine Spearheads "Outnumber Hunger"

Label group artists Rascal Flatts, Reba, Martina McBride, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, Sunny Sweeney, Edens Edge, Ella Mae Bowen and Thomas Rhett are banding together to help fight America’s hunger problem.

They have teamed up with General Mills and Feeding America to create the Outnumber Hunger campaign. The Outnumber Hunger initiative officially kicked off on Friday (March 30th) with a press conference in Las Vegas.

Justin Moore Takes Time To Enjoy Fatherhood

Moore admits when his first daughter, Ella Kole, was born he didn't really get to enjoy the process of fatherhood because he says, “Nobody can really prepare you for how to handle it and it was right at the point where I was enjoying some success so I was gone a lot and didn't get to be as big a part of the whole process as I would like to have been.” But since his second daughter, Kennedy Faye, was born just this past November, he‟s made a conscious effort to try to be more present and enjoy the little moments that come with having a new baby.

“I don‟t think my wife and I really took the time to enjoy the whole process [with Ella], so
we‟re trying to do so this time.” Luckily Justin had some time off the road to spend with his wife and two daughters over the holidays, but that will soon come to an end when he hits the road with Blake Shelton on his Well Lit & Amplified Tour beginning January 12th.
