Country Goes Motley

Country stars lined up to pay homage to iconic rock group Motley Crue on the new Big Machine release, Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Motley Crue, which arrives at retail on August 19th.

Justin Moore, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, Brantley Gilbert, LeAnn Rimes, Darius Rucker, Eli Young Band, Cassadee Pope, The Mavericks, Big & Rich, The Cadillac Three, Aaron Lewis, Nashville stars Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen, Lauren Jenkins and Gretchen Wilson all recorded Motley Crue’s hits in tribute to the band, who, after more than 30 years together and over 80 million albums sold worldwide, have decided to call it quits.

The idea for Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Motley Crue at first didn’t make sense to the band, but Vince Neil says they quickly came around to giving their stamp of approval. “I just kind of couldn’t wrap my head around it because my head is still like what country was 30 years ago, say when I was growing up, and I didn’t really realize that country music has become the new rock ‘n’ roll, and so all of a sudden I started listening to these bands and going, ‘This actually makes sense. I mean, this is really cool! So it became really exciting and after listening to the songs for the first time of all the acts I was like, ‘These guys all hit a homerun on this record.’”

The first single from Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute To Motley Crue is Justin Moore’s version of “Home Sweet Home,” featuring Vince Neil.

The Price Of Being LeAnn Rimes

LeAnn Rimes and new hubby Eddie Cibrian shared a low-key night at Chicago's Tavern on Rush. The pair split a bottle of Villa Antinori, and ordered a hummus appetizer before tucking into two entrĂ©es: the Asian fusion bowl with chicken for her and a chopped salad for him.  During the meal, LeAnn was approached by a fan about her weight.

According to a tweet from LeAnn, the fellow diner came up to her table and told her she needed to "Eat something" in front of her stepsons Mason and Jake.

LeAnn tweeted, "What is wrong with people!?? AS I'm stuffing my face…have another drink and maybe take a class in manners! Cheers!"

A source says the pair looked like they were having fun, but attempted to go unnoticed: Rimes wore a fedora and kept a low profile while dining.

Drop Dead Diva With LeAnn Rimes

mylieftime.com
LeAnn Rimes continues to bolster her acting resume as she made a guest appearance on the third season launch of the Lifetime series "Drop Dead Diva," which debuted Sunday night.

She played the part of a former celebrity spouse who enlists the services of Brooke Elliott's character, Jane Bingum, after being accused in a hit-and-run accident.

LeAnn tells AOL TV she really enjoyed "playing the scorned ex-wife of a TV star," pointing out that the role had been written specifically for her.

Rimes says that this was the second time she'd been offered a part on the show, but scheduling conflicts prevented her from taking the previous opportunity to make a guest appearance.

Fans who missed Sunday's premiere broadcast of "Drop Dead Diva" featuring Rimes as a guest star will have another chance to see it on Lifetime.

LeAnn Rimes Is NOT Skinny

LeAnn Rimes set off controversy recently, after pictures surfaced of her in a skimpy bikini on her Mexican honeymoon with new husband, actor Eddie Cibrian.

"For someone like me who is healthy, who works hard for my body, it's very frustrating," she tells People magazine. "People are calling me bulimic or anorexic, and these are real issues and diseases -- that I don't have."

LeAnn says she puts a high priority on her health. "I work out and take care of myself, and not in an over-obsessive way," she insists.

Her personal trainer, Michael Jackson, agrees. "My main concern with her is that she's toned and healthy. And she is," he asserts.

The new Mrs. Cibrian recently joined her spouse for a benefit for tornado recovery, following the deadly storms in Alabama and Missouri, which raised $36,000.

LeAnn’s film credits include the TV movie 'Northern Lights' and the film 'Good Intentions,' will next star in a CMT movie, 'Reel Love,' opposite Burt Reynolds. The film is slated to air in the fall.

Rimes Tweeting About Her Wedding

LeAnn Rimes should be happy on her honeymoon, but instead she's taking the time to tweet about news coverage surrounding her wedding.

LeAnn shot down reports that her wedding last Friday, April 22nd, to actor Eddie Cibrian was very similar to his 2001 wedding to first wife Brandi Glanville.

Us Weekly quoted an unnamed source saying both Brandi and LeAnn wore a dress by designer Reem Acra, both got married on the beach in spring, and Eddie had Sonny & Cher's "I Got You Babe" played at both ceremonies. LeAnn shot back saying, "Why would I EVER want to be anyone but?! I've got a pretty dang great life that's authentically my own. I'm proud of it!"

LeAnn also says that Reem Acra is a friend who offered to make her wedding dress. She also insists that no one who was at the wedding breathed a word about the ceremony to Us Weekly. LeAnn adds, "There was only ONE couple that was even at both, so nonsense!"
