Tim McGraw Loves Singing With Faith Hill

Tim’s latest single, “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s features him singing with his wife Faith Hill

While Tim and Faith have talked about one day doing a duets album together, they try not to overdue their collaborations in order to keep it special, although Tim loves singing with his wife. Tim says, “I think that she’s probably one of the most talented people in the world. Her singing is just, it’s in a league of its own. She’s just really a, truly a singer’s singer.”

“Meanwhile Back at Mama’s” will be on Tim’s new album, Sundown Heaven Town, which will be released on September 16th.

Tim McGraw And Faith Hill Won’t Skimp On Thanksgiving

Tim is incredibly fit these days, working out regularly and eating healthy, but he admits when Thanksgiving rolls around, all bets are off.

“Thanksgiving is one of my favorite meals of the year so I’m not going to skip out on anything,” says Tim.  “My wife cooks a great Thanksgiving dinner and we have the traditional turkey and cornbread dressing and all the vegetables that are grown in our parents’ garden. We have cornbread and peas, green beans, butter beans, cranberry sauce—all those things.  So, we don’t miss out on anything at Thanksgiving.”

We know Faith Hill makes some pretty incredible cornbread in a well-seasoned cast iron skillet, so we’re sure that will be on Tim’s plate come Thursday.

Tim, Faith and Hank Lived Here

And, Curbed's Rob Bear writes that you can own it next if you have $20 million:
Country music couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have listed their 753-acre farm, once owned by fellow music legend Hank Williams, on the outskirts of Nashville for a whopping $20M. But despite the high price tag, part of the estate, the antebellum mansion at the heart of the property, comes completely unrestored. That may not deter many buyers, as the house is in stunning original condition and a nearby log home has been renovated to a very high standard. It is unclear why the couple, who purchased this property back in 2001 haven't moved ahead with a renovation. It is not for lack of cash, as the pair have an estimated net worth of $135M, but perhaps they were distracted by a litany of other property transactions.

Country Star Favorite Charities

“My Cause” artist and charities:
Country artists are superstars with big hearts, and that was clearly displayed at this year’s ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night, which airs this Sunday on CBS. It was a night of laughs and great music in addition to supporting the charitable arm of the Academy,  ACM Lifting Lives.

Each artist that performed on the show was given the opportunity to select a charity of their choice to receive a $10,000 donation from ACM Lifting Lives. Click on the links below to watch “My Cause” videos and find out more about these great organizations.

Huff Po Pans Carrie, Faith, Shania, Kelly ACM-wear

The 2013 ACM Awards were a chance for country stars -- known for their flamboyant style -- to shake a tail feather. And did they ever.
"From Shania Twain's confusing outfit to Kelly Clarkson's sheer pantyhose, we were thoroughly entertained.

"Carrie Underwood usually lands on our other list, but this week she struggled in oversized prints that overwhelmed her on the red carpet and sparkles that looked like they belonged at prom."

Check out those over-the-top looks, as well as more celebrities who made Huffington Post's worst-dressed list.

Faith Hill Keeps Tim McGraw On His Toes On Stage

One listen to Tim’s latest single, “One of Those Nights,” and it’s obvious he’s a very talented singer, but he admits that performing on stage with Faith during their Soul2Soul shows in Las Vegas is both awe inspiring and challenging:

“I don’t get to sing with my wife that much. Only when we tour together and a handful of charity events have we ever been on stage together and actually sang together. So, it always sort of …sets me aback a bit to be up there and to hear her sing. Because she’s truly one of the greatest singers I’ve ever heard.”

Performing with Faith also pushes Tim to be better because he says, “When so much soul comes out of her and to be on stage with her and to see her just sort of light the place up when she opens her mouth and sings is something that I catch myself having to really pay attention to what I’m doing ‘cause I get lost from listening to her. It certainly makes me a better singer ‘cause you can’t just go up and phone it in with her because she won’t allow that with her voice. You have to really be on top of your game.”

Soul2Soul (click to watch video) will run through mid-April at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

Tim & Faith: Vegas Show Is Not Typical

The only thing better than seeing Tim McGraw or Faith Hill in concert, is seeing  Tim  and Faith together in concert.

And, as announced earlier this year, McGraw and Faith Hill just kicked off their 10-week Soul2Soul show at The Venetian in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Tim, himself, described the appeal of the show to Neil Haislop, "It’s such an intimate setting. I think that the main thing that we’re going to look at it is, as a chance to really connect with a small amount of people. Eighteen hundred people at one time in which… is a totally different thing than anything that we’re used to doing.”  He added, “In the past, it’s been two songs together then Faith would do her show, then we’d do two songs together, then I would do my show and then we would do 2 or 3 songs together at the end. So it’s been us together touring, but it’s also been our shows individually at the same time. That was really the focus of doing this, is this is really a chance to do something in a setting in one place, in a small, intimate setting that we could actually be on stage the entire time together.”

Country Music On TV

Faith Hill performed "Come Home" and Taylor Swift claimed the country award on last night's People's Choice Awards.

American Idol judge Randy Jackson believes Scotty McCreery has ended the perception that Idol winners don't have as great a career as the runner-ups. Jackson believes that each winner and singer is different, and it's all about making amazing and competitive songs. The new season of American Idol starts January 18th on Fox.

Chris Young will be making his debut appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to sing his latest hit, “You”! Be sure to catch the episode when it airs on January 17th!

Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton pair-up again as hosts of this years Academy of Country Music Awards. The 47th annual show will be held Sunday, April 1, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The ACM’s Fan Jam also will return for a second year. This time Zac Brown Band will host the parallel event at the Mandalay Events Center.

McGraw Running for Office?

Tim McGraw has expressed his interest in possibly entering politics at some point mainly after he feels his singing and acting careers have died down a bit.

During an interview with CNN, Tim was asked again about jumping into the political arena and the support he has received from former president Bill Clinton, if he were to run for public office.

Tim told CNN with a grin you could never rule that out.

Clinton, whom Tim has called "the best president we ever had," returned the country star's compliments.

Tim will tour Australia with his ‘First’ lady Faith Hill in 2012.

Vacation With the Country Stars

If you are planning a vacation in the near future, here are a couple you might want to consider.

This November, Royal Caribbean International has invited guests to a special, live performance by Martina McBride.

McBride is scheduled to perform aboard Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas, the largest and most innovative cruise ship ever to homeport in New Orleans, on Saturday, November 19.

The Martina concert for invited guests will take place in Voyager of the Seas’ Lyric Theatre before the ship departs on its Western Caribbean Thanksgiving cruise.

If that's not your speed, both Tim and Faith will be headlining the CMC Rocks the Hunter 2012 festival at Hope Estate in Australia next year.

This will be a return trip for Tim who performed in Aussie Land just last year in 2010 for his Southern Voice tour.

Now in its fifth year, CMC Rocks the Hunter festival has established itself as the biggest International Country & Roots Festival outside of North America.  The festival is March 16-18, 2012.

Faith Hill Has New Music

Faith Hill is making new music.  Can you believe it’s been six years since Faith Hill released a new studio album? Well she can’t either.

“I didn’t even realize it had been that long, to be honest with you, until someone told me that,” Faith says. “And I even argued with them. At the time it was five years, and I said, ‘It’s not been five years since I had a record!’ ‘Yeah, it has been.’ (laughing).”

The superstar tells CMT fans won’t have to wait too much longer for a new album.

“I’ve actually been in the studio a couple of times in the last six years. I’m just trying to find that spark, that thing that’s exciting for me…and that feels inspired and true and honest, from an honest place. It’s been a creative journey. I actually have been in the studio, but no one’s really heard anything. (laughs) But that’s going to be the nice part — to actually get it finished and get it out there for people to hear.”

“But it’s important for it to be the right thing for me musically,” she adds. “It’s just the process. It’s like a rediscovery. And in the midst of rediscovery, it just takes time.”
