The Band Perry to Perform at Super Bowl XLVIII Pregame Show

TBP and PHILLIP PHILLIPS will perform as part of the Super Bowl XLVIII pregame show in East Rutherford, NJ on Sunday, February 2, the NFL and FOX announced today.  The two acts will perform at the NFL Tailgate Party and part of each performance will be televised live on FOX SUPER BOWL SUNDAY.

In addition, Broadway will travel to New Jersey when the cast of the Tony and Grammy Award winning musical JERSEY BOYS and the cast of the electrifying musical ROCK OF AGES perform at the NFL Tailgate Party.

The Band Perry has ascended to dizzying heights since releasing their self-titled debut album on Republic Nashville in 2010, which scored the sibling trio a string of hits, including the quadruple-platinum “If I Die Young” (#1 on Billboard¹s Country and AC charts); platinum “You Lie” and gold “All Your Life” (#1 Country). Fronted by Kimberly Perry and rounded out by her younger brothers Neil and Reid, the band has amassed over 10.3 million tracks sold from their platinum debut and gold sophomore release PIONEER, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and #2 All Genre. The Band Perry At The (CMT) Crossroads With Fall Out Boy

Grammy-nominated, multiplatinum band Fall Out Boy is teaming up with hot country trio The Band Perry for an all-new episode of CMT CROSSROADS.

Kimberly Perry and Patrick Stump stood on stage huddled around a microphone, pens in hand, with a lyric sheet to The Band Perry’s current single “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely.”

(Patrick) Stump, lead singer for rock group Fall Out Boy, was baffled — even with the help of a teleprompter — the first time his group and Perry’s sibling trio attempted the soaring ballad in rehearsal. While Kimberly Perry nailed the lyrics to her trio’s song, Stump didn’t even attempt the lines assigned to him and asked to go through the song with just Kimberly Perry and a guitar.

“There were a lot of rhythms that just came in sideways in my head,” Stump said of “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely.” “By the end of it, that will probably end up being my favorite song because that was the one we spent the most time on.”  -- Tennessean writer Cindy Watts


The groups are collaborating for the first time together, swapping stories and sharing lyrics from their hit songs.

Dierks Bentley Cohosts "The View" Friday

Dierks will make a stop in New York this week to co-host The View! The episode will air this Friday, July 26 at 10:00am CT on ABC.

Dierks will also reveal his new single with a first-time television performance of the new song off his forthcoming album RISER.

His "Country Cares" Concert including The Band Perry, Randy Houser and David Nail for families of the 19 Granite Mountain firefighters that died battling Arizona wildfires was held this past Monday.

The event, promoted by both KMLE/Phoenix and KAFF/Flagstaff, raised over $475,000.

It's All-American All-Star Week At The Grand Ole Opry

The stars will be shining during a week of shows and special events at the Grand Ole Opry July 2 – 6, making it an “All-American All-Star Week.”  Free music and other fun on the Opry Plaza are set to complement superstar appearances and musical salutes to the red, white and blue on the Opry stage throughout the week.

Alison Krauss, the most awarded female artist in the history of the Grammy_® Awards, is set to mark her 20^th anniversary as an Opry member on Wednesday, July 3.  Joining Krauss will be bluegrass great Larry Sparks and multi-award-winner Jamey Johnson. On July 5 and 6, the Opry will host two shows each evening with country music superstar Carrie Underwood appearing both nights. Underwood will be joined by  CMA award-winning group The Band Perry and more on Friday and by Lennon & Maisy from ABC’s hit series Nashville, among many others, on Saturday.

Opry Plaza Parties throughout the week are set to include food and fun with lawn games, giveaways, and a dunk tank each night, with proceeds from the dunk tank benefiting  American Red Cross Disaster Relief.  Plaza Parties will include free music on an All-American Plaza Stage July 3, 5 and 6 featuring Nashville talents Carolyn Martin (Wednesday), Justin Myers (Friday), and Blue Mother Tupelo (Saturday).

Brad Paisley Was On The Band Perry's Wish List

 "TBP" will re-join Brad Paisley for his Virtual Reality Tour this Friday in St. Louis, MO.  They've already spent a couple of months on the road with Brad for the first leg of the tour at the beginning of the year and Neil says, “It's been an amazing tour so far.  The crowds have been wild.”    

Kimberly attributes part of that to the fact that most of the dates on the tour have been sold out.  “And that‟s really cool playing these huge arenas with thousands of people in front of you singing all the words to your songs.

By now the fans are probably very familiar with The Band Perry‟s latest single, “Postcard from Paris,” and will be singing every word back to them during their shows.  Plus, getting to tour with Brad is something The Band Perry has wanted to do since they started. 

“Brad has just been a real hero of ours,” Kimberly explains. “Both, of course, as an artist, but also as a really, really good guy in this business.

The Band Perry = Big In Polka Circles

If you listen to The Band Perry’s first album, you‟ll hear the unique sound of an accordion on several of the songs. Neil explains, "When we were recording our album, we were talking with our producer and the keyboardist who actually played on it and he had an accordion lying on the ground and we looked at it and we said, 'That would be cool to put on here.' So we put a bunch of it on the album.”

After the album was done the trio realized someone would have to play the accordion during their live shows. "And of course, we drew straws [and it] landed with me,” says Neil. But actually he says he loves playing the instrument and it‟s one of his favorite parts of the live show. Plus, Kimberly points out, “He's really popular down in Texas because everybody thinks he's a mariachi player. And up north …” Neil is apparently a hit with Polka fans. "Tuba players love this guy,” jokes Kimberly.

The Band Perry will soon be heading into the studio to begin recording their sophomore album.

The Band Perry And Taylor Swift On TV New Years Eve

TBP will be there live and Swift reportedly will be featured on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest as a highlight replay from 2009's rewind which was Seacrest's first year to take the mic from Clark, an ABC special airing Wednesday (Dec. 31).

The activities begin at 10 p.m. ET with Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest, featuring performances live from Times Square, and continue with two parts of the usual New Year's Rockin' Eve airing at 11:35 p.m. and 1:05 a.m. ET.

Meanwhile, two-time Dancing With The Stars champion Julianne Hough will be in Atlanta to headline the music at the 20th annual New Year's Eve Peach Drop. Taking place at Underground Atlanta, the event will be co-hosted by country artist Rissi Palmer and seen on syndicated TV in more than 40 markets. Also in Atlanta, Jason Michael Carroll will be performing at Cowboys Concert Hall.

Band Perry and the 25 Days of Christmas

ABC Family's 25 Days Of Christmas has a country theme in 2011.  The Band Perry, two time CMA Award winners earlier this month, wrote and recorded the theme. 

You'll get your first look at the music video for the song November 20 during ABC Family's "Holiday in Handcuffs" at 8pm Eastern Time.

Bieber and The Band Perry Tweet

The Band Perry has recorded a song with Justin Bieber for his upcoming holiday album. Last week, Justin tweeted the trio, saying “heard the final version of our song for the Christmas album!! Love it. glad to have you!” TBP tweeted back “Thx JB. Thrilled to be a part!”

Justin Bieber and The Band Perry actually have a bit of history together. In addition to sharing the same vocal coach, earlier this year they all appeared on “The Tonight Show” on the same night.

Also, CMT reports that after the CMT Music Awards this past June, Justin made sure to go visit with TBP before leaving for the night.

Band Perry's Video For All My Life

The Band Perry has a new video of their current song, "All My Life."  Here's the band performing in the famous Oceanway Studios in Nashville via their VEVO/YouTube channel.

The band just kicked off their Purveyors of Performance Tour.  The tour is around 75 live performance dates.  It's a mix of their own headline shows, along with support dates with Keith Urban and Reba

The cinematic video (different than what you see here) features TBP as a vagabond troupe.  CMT and GAC are playing the cinematic video now.

Breakthrough Video With The Band Perry [VIDEO]

The Band Perry’s single “If I Die Young,” which won the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards, has been so successful that the group no longer thinks of the song as its own.

“We kind of feel like it belongs to the folks at this point,” lead singer Kimberly Perry told The Tennessean. “You know, we certainly wrote it, but it’s helped so many people.”

The group continued the sharing theme when it accepted the award during the show. “It takes a village to raise a band,” Perry told the audience.

The hit song has been in heavy rotation since being released over a year ago and it garnered the group two other CMT Award nominations: group video and video of the year.

The group continues it road show on Tim McGraw’s tour.

Opening Act Picked By Another McGraw

Tim McGraw‘s daughters have become quite the concert promoters. It was then 12-year-old Gracie McGraw who convinced her dad that Lady Antebellum would be a good opener for his 2010 tour.


This year, younger sister Maggie, also 12, campaigned on behalf of The Band Perry, a trio of siblings best known for its hit, “If I Die Young.” Ask The Band Perry, and its members couldn’t be more thrilled to get attention from a pre-teen.


“Apparently the little girls are good at picking acts,” says lead singer Kimberly Perry, 27. “We’re really grateful that Maggie picked us.”


“She’s our new best friend,” says bass player Reid Perry, 23, the middle child of the trio. The Band Perry is currently on Tim McGraw’s Emotional Traffic Tour and will join Keith Urban on the road in September.

Lovin' The Band Perry In Person

The Band Perry's fans have turned out in droves to wave elaborate signs at the trio.


"We have seen some of our favorite signs," Reid tells The Boot. "They remind me of Hallmark cards on poster boards."


Perhaps one reason Reid favors the signs is that many declare the fans' love for him.


"We see them all the time, the ones that say 'I love Reid,'" laughs brother Neil. "His head is getting bigger and bigger. He gets an incredible amount of love from the ladies."


The adoring fans are just one of the delights on the tour, the siblings say.


"My favorite thing about the tour is the one solid catwalk with two arms that branch off," says Kimberly. "I love to [walk out toward the audience] and reach down and smack the hands of fans all night long."


The Band Perry had never seen Tim in concert before they were in the music business, they all admit they were major fans.


"Where we grew up, we did mud riding," says Kimberly who adds she shared this memory with Tim. "We used to go mud riding with 'It's Your Love' cranked up. We'd play it over and over again. We got to tell Tim that a couple of nights ago!"

Tornado Relief Close To Home

Greeneville Tennessee natives Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry (The Band Perry) joined both the Greene County Chapter of the Red Cross and the Greene County Disaster Relief/Donation Center to assist in relief efforts last week.


“Nothing is more important to us than family, community and service to others,” said Kimberly Perry. “We have been anxious to visit our neighbors and help as much as we can. We hope that we helped to raise awareness of the needs in the area and we’re very happy that we could publicly thank and acknowledge the tireless efforts of all the local disaster relief workers


The Greene County Red Cross has undertaken a non-stop schedule of providing needed items. In Tennessee, since April 27, the Red Cross has served almost 40,000 meals; and more than 26,200 snacks; and delivered about 1500 comfort kits. Additionally, over 5,000 meals have been served by the staff at The Oaks Retreat center over the last week.


If you want to help, a local group FWBF Ministries could use a hand.

Sara Evans' 'A Little Bit Stronger' takes over the top of both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard country singles charts this week.


Miranda Lambert's 'Heart Like Mine' is No. 2 on both and Kenny Chesney's 'Live a Little,' drops to No. 3. Holding steady at #4 sits Jerrod Niemann's 'What Do You Want from Me' while Rascal Flatts gains one spot with 'I Won't Let Go', now at #5. Brad Paisley and Alabama take 'Old Alabama' to #6 and Keith Urban climbs two places ending up at #7 with 'Without You.'


Darius Rucker's #1 hit 'This' still hangs on at #8, Taylor Swift enters the Top 10 with 'Mean' at #9 and The Band Perry again remains at #10 with 'You Lie.'


Sara relates to 'A Little Bit Stronger,'. "I'm definitely relating to that title," Sara said. "I mean, I feel stronger in every single way. No one wants to go through a hard time in their life, but everyone's going to, and most people have. I just feel stronger now in every single way possible: physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, romantically. Just in every single way, I'm a stronger woman because of going through hard times. 'A Little Bit Stronger' is definitely a huge statement, not only for me, but hopefully, it speaks to my fans."


The country songstress is nominated for a CMT Music Award for Female Video of the Year for 'A Little Bit Stronger,' which is from her latest album, 'Stronger.' The 2011 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville June 8 on CMT.

Band Perry Has Gone To The Dogs

The Band Perry teamed with Purina Dog Chow to host a charity dog wash in Tampa, Fla on last Friday, with all proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.


"Our dogs really are like the extended family of the Band Perry," Kimberly told The Boot. "We've had dogs for as long as I can remember. Our very first one was Abigail. We grew up with her. She was a little basset hound with these long ears that she would trip over. We've always had a family pet that's meant so much to us, that's why we were really thrilled to partner with Purina Dog Chow, because they're all about healthy pets."


The Band Perry presented a check for $10,000 to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, on behalf of Purina and its 'Dare Us Back' contest winner, Don Genton. The band's first CD The Band Perry is available now.  The current single, You Lie, is sitting in the top 10.
