“Sunny and 75" Single Sales in Excess of 500,000 Downloads

Joe Nichols’ #1 hit “Sunny and 75” has been certified gold by the RIAA for single sales in excess of 500,000 digital downloads.  The song is the lead single from Nichols’ debut RED BOW CD release Crickets.

 

“Sunny and 75” hit the #1 spot on both the Billboard Hot Country Songs and the Country Aircheck/ USA Today charts in early December.  The song is the 4 x Grammy nominee’s fifth #1 single.

 

“Yeah,” the second single from Crickets, will hit radio on January 27, 2014.

Nichols To "Start" When The Cards Play The Giants

Country artist Joe Nichols is set to perform the National Anthem Wednesday October 17th at the home opener of the NLCS playoffs in St Louis, when the Cardinals take on the San Francisco Giants.  The performance will air on Fox at 2:54 pm CT and will reunite Nichols with the team he spent many a childhood summer night watching when his father Mike was a security guard at Busch Stadium.

"I'm excited and always thrilled to see a Cardinals game - especially in the post-season when it's against an historic team like the Giants. The last two World Series championship teams meeting together in the league championship doesn't happen very often," Nichols said.

Nichols was five when he saw his first-ever baseball game, and it was, of course, in St. Louis. He has had the honor of performing the Anthem at several LCS playoffs.

Joe and Heather Nichols Visit The View

During a 2010 appearance on The View, Joe Nichols revealed to the cast and audience that he and wife Heather were undergoing fertility treatments in an effort to have a baby.  Two years later, the happy new parents once again visited the show to discuss the long, difficult and often heartbreaking path to the delivery of their healthy baby girl, Dylan River Nichols.  The couple revealed they had suffered five miscarriages, and shared their story in an effort to help other women who may be experiencing similar challenges.

Nichols  also performed a song special to the couple, "That Would Be Her." He sang it to Heather at their wedding, and Heather played the song throughout the lengthy and frequent treatments during her pregnancy.  Additionally a line from the song inspired their daughter's middle name.  The song can be found on Nichols' award winning debut CD, titled Man With A Memory.  In addition to their appearance on The View, Heather has launched a blog designed to share the information she accumulated during her research into treatments and her experiences throughout this pregnancy.

Congrats to new parents Joe and Heather Nichols who welcomed their daughter Dylan River Nichols on Tuesday April 17th.

"We have been trying to have a baby together for many years, and this gift is not something we take for granted," Joe says. "We are gonna try to be the best parents possible."

It's All Good

Joe Nichols released his sixth studio album, It's All Good, featuring his latest single, "Take It Off."  Joe had very clear intentions while recording the project. He wanted to bring a traditional sound into today and connect with listeners.

September 11 Work For Nichols, Adkins, Jackson

Joe Nichols and Trace Adkins are performing for September 11th-related events.

Joe will be taking part in the Patriots Day Celebration in Phoenix, Arizona. He's slated to headline a concert that will cap off a day of activities on September 10th. The event will start with the "Honor Ride" motorcycle parade. It will also feature aerial shows as well as military displays and demonstrations in the afternoon. Tony Orlando is also scheduled to perform.

Adkins will be marking the occasion outside the U.S. He'll be on a USO Tour in Germany, where he'll play a special September 11th concert at Ramstein Air Base for the troops and their families.

Nichols and Adkins join Alan Jackson in agreeing to take part in commemorative events to mark the 10th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorists attacks.

Jackson will take part in "A Concert For Hope," which is described as "the capstone event" of the three-day "A Call To Compassion" ceremony taking place in Washington, DC. from September 9th through the 11th.

Dunkin’ Donuts has welcomed Joe Nichols.  Dunkin’ Donuts has signed on for sponsorship of Joe Nichols shows across his 2011 Nationwide Concert Tour in support of his forthcoming studio album that will be released this fall.


Joe became the first person ever to “take over” Dunkin’ Donuts’ official Facebook page during a live video chat on the first full day of summer.


“Dunkin’ Donuts already made my favorite coffee, so there was an immediate interest on my part,” said Joe Nichols. “And after seeing them so proactively supporting the troops via the USO, and given my very public support of military personnel, we found out we had even more in common. The more we talked, the more the connection between us grew. I can’t imagine a better fit.”


As part of the partnership, Dunkin’ Donuts will also offer fans an opportunity to win special prizes such as tickets to upcoming concerts, passes to meet-and-greet with Nichols, access to pre-show sound check performances, autographed items, and more cool items.

Music And Motorcycles For Kids

Dierks Bentley, Joe Nichols, Josh Thompson, Uncle Kracker and Miss Willie Brown will get their motors running on May 22 for Dierks' annual Miles and Music for Kids motorcycle ride and concert.


During its five-year history, the events surrounding Dierks' philanthropy have raised more than $1.5 million for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year's proceeds will be donated to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.


"These families who have children in the hospital, they need to only have to worry about their child getting well, not where the next money is coming from," Dierks told The Boot.


The ride will depart from the AD Farrow Co. Harley-Davidson Dealership (7754 St. Rt. 37 E., Sunbury, Ohio 43074) for the hour and a half long ride that ends at the LC Pavilion (405 Neil Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215) for the concert portion of the event featuring Dierks and his special musical guests.
