Eric Church = Ready To Roll

While many of us are enjoying a sunny, sultry summer, Church has his eyes set on the fall, when he hits the road to play songs like “Cold One” with his band on his new The Outsiders World Tour. “I’ve never been five months out from a tour and had the anticipation that I have for this one,” Eric tells us. Part of the reason for that – Eric’s really excited to be bringing Dwight Yoakam on tour with him! “I’m a huge Dwight Yoakam fan. I grew up listening to Dwight’s music,” Eric admits. “I wish it was September right now!”

Brothers Osborne, the duo that you know from their new hit. “Rum,” will also be along for the ride this fall.  The Outsiders World Tour kicks off September 11th in Bossier City, Louisiana. It’s currently slated to run through year’s end, wrapping in mid-December in Birmingham, Alabama.

Luke Bryan's Soldier Field Military Fly-Away Contest

Two originals are teaming up this summer to give current and former service men and women the chance to make their summer one to remember.

Miller Lite, the beer that invented the light beer category, and Luke Bryan, the 2013 Academy of Country Music "Entertainer of the Year," will award 45 Army and Air Force service men and women with an all-expense paid trip to Chicago to attend Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night" concert at Soldier Field August 31st.

The summer text-to-win promotion will only be available in Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) stores from May through August. With more than 450 locations nationwide, AAFES provides merchandise and services to veterans and service men and women at low prices. Profits are returned to the Army and Air Force to improve the quality of life for troops and to provide a dividend to support morale, welfare and recreation (MWR) programs such as family and recreation service centers.

"We are excited to give these incredible service men and women the chance to win a truly amazing experience with Luke Bryan and Miller Lite," said Ryan Reis, Miller Lite senior director. "It's an honor and privilege for Miller Lite to give back to the heroes in our armed forces."

Although summer can turn into Miller Time for beer drinkers nationwide, only consumers 21 or older who are veterans or current service men and women are eligible to text and win this VIP experience courtesy of Miller Lite.

Dierks Bentley Travels Light

Bentley has spent his share of time on the road – whether “on a plane” or a tour bus. And after all these years of being a road warrior, he’s managed to boil down his absolute “must have” items to a pretty concise list. “You’ve got to have cold beer,” he says, and that means “You’ve got to have ice [and] you’ve got to have a red solo cup.”

The rest of Dierks’ list is pretty basic – sunglasses and a trucker’s cap. Equipped with all that, he’s “good-to-go” and ready to bring his Riser Tour to a city near you!

“I’ve got some pretty normal ‘must haves.’ I mean, you’ve got to have cold beer…which means you’ve got to have ice. You’ve got to have a red solo cup. Sunglasses are good. Trucker hat. That’s all I need.”

Dierks’ latest hit from his Riser album – “Drunk On a Plane” – is rising toward the top of the charts, continuing its climb through the top 10 this week.

Newcomer Thankful To Be Part of Camp Lambert and Shelton

RaeLynn was part of Blake Shelton’s team on season two of The Voice, and she says ever since leaving the show, Blake and Miranda Lambert have become like family to her.

“I guess you could say that I’ve been adopted into the Blake Shelton and Miranda camp,” says RaeLynn. “I’m so blessed to have them in my life. They literally have taught me so much about the music industry and about staying true to myself, and about how it doesn’t come easy.”

Country's "new girl" says Blake and Miranda have been especially good at helping her remain patient over the last two years while she’s been working on her album and getting anxious for people to hear her music. They’ve also been very supportive of her career. “They are my biggest fans, besides my family. I just don’t know what I would do without Camp Lambert and Shelton. I love them so much.”

Besides Blake and Miranda’s support, RaeLynn also has the support of their families. “Miranda’s Mom and Dad are very involved in my career too. Miranda’s Mom does my merch, she does me and Miranda’s merch. I’m just super thankful to have them in my life. I honestly can say I would not be where I am in my career if it wasn’t for Blake and Miranda, with all their support.”

RaeLynn’s debut album, featuring her brand new single, “God Made Girls,” is set to be released later this year.

Kenny Chesney And Flora-Bama-Jama Blur State Lines

With “American Kids” taking the country charts by storm, Kenny Chesney’s itch to bring the No Shoes Nation together didn’t take long. But in keeping with his always “embrace life, make it happen” attitude, Chesney wasn’t looking to just show up and play, he wanted to make it the kind of day that his fans really know how to celebrate, to turn into a memory that’s going to last for months to come.

After a quick site scout and a bunch of phone calls, the 4-time Country Music Association and 4 consecutive Academy of Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year settled on a spot along the Gulf Coast where Alabama meets Florida, and entire worlds come together: the Flora-Bama.

“I’ve been holed up making a record for the last year... and anyone who knows me knows how much I miss playing, miss the fans, but especially miss the culture the people who love this music bring with them,” Chesney says. “Obviously, this isn’t going to be one of those huge shows we do, but it’s gonna be a long day, a whole lotta music and even more fun.

“To me, a place like the Flora-Bama is all about kicking back, being with your friends and not worrying about a thing... Just hang out and be easy. I love that it’s on a border, that it’s on a beach, that it’s like the best bar anywhere people get together and just be! It’s everything the notion of The Big Revival is built on: taking that time to regroup, replenish then re-engage with the passion of being truly, absolutely alive.”

Located where Orange Beach and Gulf Shores meet Perdido Key, literally on the Alabama/Florida border, the bar with a beach was established in 1964 and has been a gathering place for surfers, sports fans, beach people, blue collars, rednecks, good ole boys’n’girls, locals, tourists ever since. Celebrated by The New Yorker, Maxim, John Grisham, Men’s Journal, USA Today, Bon Appetit, Playboy, Outside, The Boston Globe and Delta Sky, the Lounge/Package Store/Yacht Club is a one of a kind for laidback revelry and people coming together.

“This all started with ‘American Kids’ for me,” Chesney explains. “The idea how passionate my fans are, the way they come together and how much they love life, they love music and they celebrate every moment. I miss getting out there and playing, and I figured this is a way to combine everything they love in one place... Capture the essence of that freewheeling, seize the moment notion of the song, the album and the Nation.”

Hunter Hayes' New Video Premieres Monday, July 28

Hayes is known for challenging status quo, and in his new music video for “Tattoo” he continues to push the envelope, taking his multidimensional vision to new heights.

Although Hayes is keeping the final effects and video premise confidential, he released the first teaser—a behind-the-scenes look at the setting after CMT personality Cody Alan prompted Hayes on Twitter

“‘Tattoo’is about inspiration,” said Hayes. “It’s about that moment when you meet somebody and you’re inspired by them and all you want is to encourage them as much as they’ve motivated you. And that’s the fun of it -- meeting that person you’re crazy about.”

The Band Perry’s Kimberly Loves The Irony Of “Chainsaw”

When you first hear The Band Perry’s latest single, “Chainsaw,” it sounds like a sweet love song about a couple going out to carve their initials as a symbol of love into a tree. Kimberly Perry says that’s why she loves the song and was drawn to record it because it’s a bit deceptive. Neil says it sounds “romantic.” Kimberly laughs and says, “Yeah, until you get to the chorus when they chop that sucker down, and I just think it’s so funny and ironic.”

Although “Chainsaw” is sung from a woman’s perspective, Kimberly is sure there are plenty of men who can relate to the song as well.
